Luzviminda Uzuri “Lulu” Carpenter (aka Ms. Lulu or LuluNation) is KVRU’s Station Manager. She is a media justice advocate, educator, and organizer. She teaches performance and media arts at the social justice and STEAM focused Seattle Girls’ School and works with other youth organizations. She founded the Alphabet Alliance of Color and served as Co-Chair of the City of Seattle LGBTQ Commission. She has collaborated with On the Boards, worked for Historic Seattle, and other arts groups. She is dedicated to providing access to radio, media, and technology to communities whose voices need to be heard.
