Meet the Team: Gloria Majule

Gloria Majule is excited to join SEED as the Arts Operations Manager. Originally from Dodoma, Tanzania, Gloria has lived, studied, and worked in New Haven, New York, Madrid, and Nairobi. She received her BA in Performing & Media Arts and Spanish from Cornell University and her MFA in Playwriting from Yale School of Drama.

Gloria holds experience in theatrical arts administration, having worked at organizations such as Seattle Repertory Theatre, Yale Repertory Theatre, Ambassador Theater Group, and Manhattan Theatre Club. She also has experience in arts education, most recently teaching at Cornish College of the Arts, and guest lecturing at University of Washington and Stockton University. 

Gloria is an advocate for art as a tool for social change and is passionate about work that centers community. Her most recent endeavors in community centered work include volunteering as co-editor in chief for the Tanzania Feminist Collective and with the Yale New Voices in Theater mentorship program.

Gloria is fluent in Kiswahili and Spanish and has intermediate proficiency in French. She enjoys traveling, learning new languages, and writing.
