The nation has a shortage of over 7 million affordable homes and is in danger of losing the affordable homes we do have. Nationally, over 350,000 affordable homes are at risk of being lost in the next four years, and over a dozen affordable apartment buildings have been sold in Seattle recently.

How can we preserve the housing we have, while creating more desperately needed homes? With public and private partners, SEED is investing over $14 million in preserving the existing affordable housing in Southeast Seattle.

After a briefing on our programs, Wubet Biratu, Director of Asset Management and Compliance at the Washington State Housing Finance Commission, will introduce our guest speakers – Margaret Salazar will speak about community organizations working to preserve affordable homes, and Seth Leonard will address national solutions. Following will be a lively discussion!

Free – Reservations required. Secure your seat now!
