Rainier Valley Cultural Center
The Historic Rainier Valley Cultural Center is located just above Rainier Avenue South at 3515 S Alaska Street, Seattle 98118. Two blocks from the Columbia City Link Light Rail Station, the Cultural Center provides a premiere space for the performing arts, workshops, classes, rehearsals, banquets, receptions, and meetings.

Seating and Stage: Our intimate 240-seat auditorium offers raked seating in a large center block with additional seating on each side. The stage measures 39-feet wide by 24-feet deep; floor to ceiling height is 15-feet. We offer a traditional End Stage with a wood floor. Download a floor plan
Lighting: Express 24/48 lighting control system with 38 lighting instruments.
Sound: 24-channel Mackey sound system, excellent acoustics.
Lower Level Banquet Hall:
Multi-use area for rehearsals, meetings or classes (60 ft x 45 ft), includes a catering kitchen, 14 tables and 100 chairs. ADA accessible.

Rental Fees
Auditorium
$100/hour (auditorium only)
$500 for 4 hours (entire facility, including banquet hall and kitchen)
$300 Damage Deposit (refundable based on inspection after use)
Parties/Celebrations
For weddings, funeral receptions, dances, dinners, auctions, etc.
$60/hour - Banquet Hall only
$70/hour - Banquet Hall and kitchen
$300 Damage Deposit (refundable based on inspection after use)
Meetings
For training sessions, seminars, workshops, etc.
$35/hour - Banquet Hall only
$40/hour - Banquet Hall and kitchen
$200 Damage Deposit (refundable based on inspection after use)
Rehearsals
$15/hour
All prices, including damage deposits, are subject to change and will be communicated at time of rental arrangement. All private parties are subject to review and additional fees may apply.
Any event occurring on more than one day may be negotiated for a flat rate depending on length of use and facility availability.

Security: All events will be subject to review and renter may be required to provide security for the event at the renter’s own expense. Facility manager will confirm if security is required for your event.
Technical Assistance: Any event requiring more than basic sound and lighting set-up and access to theatre sound and lighting equipment may be subject to additional fees for technical services. Facility manager reserves the right to determine if renter is required to utilize the services of Rainier Valley Cultural Center technical staff.
Parking: The facility has a 15-space parking lot with available street and off-site parking nearby on S. Alaska Street and 35th Avenue S. Additional parking lots may be available for your event with advance notice. Facility manager will assist you with parking arrangements.
Directions:
Take the Columbian Way Exit off I-5. Follow Columbian Way as it curves where it becomes South Alaska Street. Proceed past Beacon Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Way. After four blocks, turn right into the Rainier Valley parking lot, ½ block before the Rainier Avenue intersection. The facility is also accessible by Link Light Rail and the #7, #39, and #48 Metro routes.
