SEED purchased the department store portion of this complex on the corner of Rainier and Walden Street in 2005. World Vision is temporarily renting the commercial space on Rainier Avenue as a distribution center for school supplies for teachers.  The project will enter the permitting process once financing is secured.  The existing building will be demolished and replaced with a mixed-use development with 75 units of housing over approximately 5,000 square feet of commercial space.  The financing that is secured will determine the income levels served in this housing, but the goal is to provide workforce housing. The current schedule calls for construction in 2008.
